| please pray for healing for my baby girl. now 3yrs old, she was diagnosed at 6 weeks of age with incurable genetic disease cystic fibrosis which affects her lungs and breathing as well as her digestive tract and digestion (amongst other things). the current life expectancy for children with this disease is about 35 years and the quality of life is not good with frequent hospital admissions, daily physiotherapy and never ending medications all to simply prolong her life as much as possible.
she is such a beautiful child, so happy so loving and so accepting of her condition but she has suffered so incredibly during her very short little life. we know God gave her to us for a reason and that she has a purpose in this world - we almost lost her at birth but she fought for life and now inspires everyone around her and captures the breath of all who see her, not to mention meet her.
It breaks my heart seeing her suffer on a daily basis - knowing that it is only going to become worse for her with the years to come. She has been through so so much and is so trusting and so brave for such a little person. To add to the trauma, her father (my ex husband) did not deal with her diagnosis and abandoned us, leaving us for his ex girlfriend. I am only a new Christian and it has been so difficult to have faith that God has plans to prosper us. I have had little more to get me through some very hard times though than hope and faith that God keeps his word and has been standing by me.
one thing my younger brother, a Christian with very strong faith, told me the day we were presented with my daughters diagnosis stuck with me and I have held onto his words for dear life through all my hard times. He doesnt say much and only said a few words, but he told me "If Jesus can raise people from the dead, he can cure this disease". I have clung to that for three years. Its hard sometimes to have faith and believe in that because the pain my daughter suffers is so real but I am trying.
Please pray for my baby. She is a miracle in herself. If I could, I would trade places with her simply so that she could live without having to suffer any more. My daughters name is Kiah Leilani Elizabeth. Kiah means "from the beautiful place", Leilani means "heavenly flower" and Elizabeth means "belonging to God".
